Welcome to Corp KIDZ HQ

Child’s Comfort & Routine Profile – Under 3yrs

Neural Information Processing Systems Conference 2026

Every child is unique, and nobody knows your child better than you.

At Kidz HQ, our goal is to create a safe, nurturing and enjoyable environment where your child feels welcomed, supported and cared for.

Our event creches are different from a home or traditional early learning environment. Children of different ages share the same space and, while our educators create calm areas for eating, resting and quiet play, there may still be background noise, movement, activity and natural light throughout the day.

The more we know about your child’s routine, personality and the little things that help them feel secure, the better we can support them. Information about their meals, bottles, sleep, comfort items, favourite things and settling strategies allows our educators to respond in a familiar and reassuring way.

Completion of this form is a required part of your child’s registration for Kidz HQ.

Please complete every section. If a question does not apply to your child, write N/A rather than leaving it blank. This form will be printed and provided to the educators caring for your child during the event.

Child Details

Getting to Know Your Child

Please tell us a little about your child’s personality, interests and the things they enjoy. This might include favourite toys, songs, books, characters, games, activities or people.

Helping Your Child Settle

Please tell us what usually helps your child feel safe and comfortable when they are in a new environment or being cared for by someone new. They may prefer time to watch before joining in, a favourite toy or comfort item, a cuddle, a particular song, distraction through play or another familiar routine.

Your Child’s Routine During Their Time at Kidz HQ

Please tell us what your child’s routine would normally look like during the hours they will be attending Kidz HQ at this event. Include approximate times wherever possible. This may include bottles, snacks, meals, sleep, quiet time, nappy changes, favourite activities or anything else that is usually part of their routine during these hours.

Food, Drinks and Bottles

Please tell us about any food, drink or bottle needs your child will have during their time with us, including approximate times and amounts.

If your child has bottles, please tell us how they prefer them prepared and given. This may include temperature, quantity, bottle position, whether they prefer to be held, and anything else that is part of their bottle routine.

Sleep Arrangements

Our event creches are different from a home or traditional childcare environment. Children of mixed ages share the same space and, although our educators create the calmest sleep area possible, background noise, movement and natural light may make settling more difficult for some children.

Many children settle more easily in their own pram because it is familiar. If they become unsettled, our educators can gently rock the pram or take them for a walk to help them fall asleep. Other children may be more comfortable sleeping in one of our portable cots.

This may include a dummy, bottle, comforter, sleep bag, blanket, song, rocking, patting, white noise or other familiar routine.

Nappy Changing and Toileting

Please tell us about your child’s nappy or toileting routine during the hours they will be attending. Include any signs they use, words they say, usual times, products required or anything else that will help our educators support them.

Things Your Child May Find Difficult

Please tell us about anything your child dislikes, fears or may find upsetting. This may include loud noises, particular activities, unfamiliar people, separation, certain textures, having their nappy changed or other situations.

Communication

How does your child usually communicate their needs? Please include any words, gestures, sounds or behaviours they use when they are hungry, tired, thirsty, uncomfortable, need a nappy change or want comfort.

Anything Else We Should Know?

Please share any other little details, routines or ’parent hacks’ that may help our educators understand, comfort and care for your child during the event.
